Caregivers experience depression, physical ailments from either the physical demands of caregiving or its resultant stress, loss of income (that affects future Social Security income), loss of social engagement, and increasing resentfulness. Taking time for ourselves feels impossible yet it must occur. Working with the family or asking for help may feel messy at best. How can we make sense in an increasingly stressful and smothering experience? This workshop explores these emotions and tried-and-true strategies to survive this rugged experience.
