Mindful Self Compassion Course

Do you treat yourself as kindly as you would a close friend when they are suffering or struggling and are in need of compassion? During this eight week course, you will learn the components of self-compassion and become aware of your inner critic. Through guided meditation, gentle movement and stretching, and group discussion, your self-judgment will soften. You will discover that far from being selfish, self-compassion is an essential ingredient of healthy relationships. You will receive a workbook of class materials and resources. A yoga mat and an open mind are all that you need to provide. Taught by licensed professional therapist, Jan Miller. You will be supported in any way that you need throughout your MSC journey.

Mindful Journaling: Illuminations

A journey into mindfulness using the written word. Suggested prompts will guide you as we write together, then share what our minds have illuminated (sharing is optional, and always encouraged). Have a blank journal available, or anything you wish to write on, along with a pen or pencil. That's all you need except for curiosity and a desire to learn more about yourself! Circumstances under which a trust would be useful will also be covered, along with beneficiary designations and how assets are titled. You may be surprised who gets what if you believe a Will takes care of everything. Elderlaw Attorney, Geriatric Care Manager and LPC., Sue E. Fabian will explain the basics so you can walk away knowing which legal documents are best for your circumstances.
