You become the music in this exhilarating workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Designed for all fitness levels. Please remember to wear comfortable tennis shoes. You will also need two regular drumsticks, wooden spoons, wooden dowels or similar items that are approximately 16 inches long. Please set aside a space that allows for free movement of your arms all around your body and above your head (you will also need space for your “stix” too). Now the 1st Saturday of every month.

What to do about Intimacy and Sex with a Cancer Diagnosis

This discussion will focus on an aspect of treatment and survivorship that isn't often discussed: Resuming healthy and fun intimacy during and after cancer treatment. Sexual function problems from: erectile dysfunction, incontinence, vaginal dryness, changes in vaginal discharge and odor, changes in desire, comfort, and body image, pain, are all things that can come up with treatment. It's something that our doctors rarely talk to us about and can be hard for us even to talk to our partners about. Join us as Dr. Roy speaks on these sensitive issues with frank and informational tips on how to get back to a place of joy and comfort in your sex life, during and after treatment. This talk is appropriate whether you are single or partnered as sexual health is important in either case.

Paying attention to what’s happening inside you….thoughts, emotions, and body sensations….in the present moment can make all the difference. With awareness, you’ll learn new and intentional responses to situations, communications, and relationships with yourself and others. The automatic and mindless reactions that are not serving you well will be replaced with new pathways leading to greater emotional, mental, and physical well-being. MBSR tools and techniques are accessible to all individuals, no matter the age and physical ability. Paying attention to what’s happening inside you….thoughts, emotions, and body sensations….in the present moment can make all the difference. With awareness, you’ll learn new and intentional responses to situations, communications, and relationships with yourself and others. The automatic and mindless reactions that are not serving you well will be replaced with new pathways leading to greater emotional, mental, and physical well-being. MBSR tools and techniques are accessible to all individuals, no matter the age and physical ability. Guided meditation, gentle movement and stretching, and small group discussion are experienced in each of the eight weekly classes.
