Mindful Self Compassion Series Time 10:00 AM Do you treat yourself as kindly as you would a close friend when they are suffering or struggling and are in need of compassion? During this eight week course, you will learn the components of self-compassion and become aware of your inner critic. Through guided meditation, gentle movement and stretching, and group discussion, your self-judgment will soften. You will discover that far from being selfish, self-compassion is an essential ingredient of healthy relationships. You will receive a workbook of class materials and resources. A yoga mat and an open mind are all that you need to provide. Taught by a licensed professional therapist, you will be supported in any way that you need throughout your MSC journey. CSC and Gilda’s Club are thrilled to invite you to Comedy Tonight | Funny on Purpose, a bi-monthly virtual gameshow! Join us on Thursday, April 1st at 9pm EST to watch a panel of your favorite celebrities and comedians compete for points and laughs!

Pound! Time 10:00 AM Channel your inner rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session inspired by the fun of playing the drums. You become the music in this exhilarating workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Designed for all fitness levels. Please remember to wear comfortable tennis shoes. You will also need two regular drumsticks, wooden spoons, wooden dowels or similar items that are approximately 16 inches long. Please set aside a space that allows for free movement of your arms all around your body and above your head (you will also need space for your “stix” too). Now the 1st Saturday of every month. NIA Time 10:00 AM NIA is sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and yoga. This Workshop includes a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body. The movements in Nia have been shown to re-program neuropathways and increase mobility, stability, flexibility, and perception. Info & Registration

Young Adult Social Event - Blanket Making Time 6:30 PM Spend Young Adult Cancer Awareness week with us and join us for a fun evening of giving back! The Cassie Hines Shoes Foundation & Fleece And Thank You have partnered with Gilda’s Club to host a night for our young adult members (ages 20 - 45) that are diagnosed. We will make the blankets together on Zoom during this event and check in with each other. When finished, the blankets will be sent off to children in hospitals. Are they an artist, baker, snowboarder or have other skills they’d like to share? The sky is the limit! We’d love to even see some of your pets show off their skills too! Best Practices for Proper Body Mechanics, Ergonomics and Wellness in a Virtual World Time 6:30 PM This presentation will provide education on proper body mechanics and ergonomics in an age where we spend more time than ever before in front of our computers and devices. Participants will learn ways to improve their posture and ergonomic set up in order to decrease risk of common musculoskeletal injuries and pain.
