Pound! Time 10:00 AM Channel your inner rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session inspired by the fun of playing the drums. You become the music in this exhilarating workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Designed for all fitness levels. Please remember to wear comfortable tennis shoes. You will also need two regular drumsticks, wooden spoons, wooden dowels or similar items that are approximately 16 inches long. Please set aside a space that allows for free movement of your arms all around your body and above your head (you will also need space for your “stix” too). Now the 1st Saturday of every month. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Series (MBSR) Time 6:00 PM Paying attention to what’s happening inside you, thoughts, emotions and body sensations, in the present moment can make all the difference. MBSR tools and techniques are accessible to all individuals, no matter the age and physical ability. Guided meditation, gentle movement and stretching and small group discussion are experienced in each of the eight week classes. Depression - Learning The Signs & When To Ask For Help Time 6:30 PM Andie Logan, MA, LLPC, ATR-P is a Wayne State graduate with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy. Andie has worked with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds in various mental health capacities, including applied behavioral analysis therapy for children on the Autism spectrum, community mental health outreach for adults, and now for a non-profit interfaith counseling organization, Samaritan Counseling Center based out of Dearborn Heights.
