Someone in the practice of Karma Yoga relinquishes desires of the ego and helps the community for the greatest good without expecting reciprocation. Info & Registration

Benefits of Acupuncture to Manage Neuropathy Time 6:00 PM Dr. Zeyiad “Z” Elias is a board certified and licensed acupuncturist with the Henry Ford Cancer Institute in Detroit. His specialty area is in Integrative Oncology and Pain Management. In this lecture, Dr. Elias will provide a brief history of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, what chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy is, and the role of acupuncture in its management. Logistics around acupuncture treatment will also be discussed, as well as resources that are available. Refreshments will be provided. This is a hybrid lecture. Angel Pillow Project Time 10:00 AM Location Clubhouse Art Room Angel Pillow was created to encourage healing, offer support and provide comfort to breast cancer patients. The heart-shaped pillows, created by breast cancer survivors, are used to soothe both physical and emotional pain immediately after surgery, radiation or other treatment. If you'd like to join this group, registration is required!

Cannabis & Cancer Time 6:00 PM Come out and connect with Leah Hyne and Maia Simonson Cannabis specialists from Island Farms, a medical cannabis farm located in Ann Arbor, Michigan as they discuss all things Cannabis. They will discuss the misconceptions surrounding cannabis, modes of administration, and the endocannabinoid system. They will also educate on how medical cannabis can be used as a treatment for cancer, how to navigate the market, and identifying quality cannabis products. Charcuterie board will be provided. 'Early Bird' Karma Yoga- Meditation Time 9:30 AM Gentle yoga and therapeutic breathing techniques are capped off by a short meditation session with Dr. Lakshmi Saleem who helps us understand the flow of energy through the body and use of Chakras for tapping into our hidden and latent energy. Someone in the practice of Karma Yoga relinquishes desires of the ego and helps the community for the greatest good without expecting reciprocation. Info & Registration

Art Therapy For All Time 10:00 AM Art Therapist Erin Shahly, MEd, ATR, will host an interactive therapeutic art workshop. We’ll focus on self-expression and self-discovery. There is no experience necessary to participate, all are welcome. We will come together to create meaningful worksof art that will provide a creative outlet and promote relaxation.
