Noogieland Family Play Time 4:00 PM Noogieland will be open for free play for kids 12 and under! Hang out in our beautifully hand painted kids area, with wall to wall toys after school on Wednesdays. Kids must be accompanied by an adult unless a volunteer is requested before hand, in order for the adult to attend a program upstairs. Kids cannot be left unsupervised. Info & Registration
Mindful Coloring Time 4:00 PM Come prepared to spend time in a focused state while engaging in a creative activity that has a calming and meditative effect. Mindful coloring can help you improve focus, reduce anxiety/stress, quiet your mind and help you sleep better. Enjoy the soothing sounds of soft jazz while your creative juices flow. Art Therapy For All Time 10:00 AM Art Therapist Erin Shahly, MEd, ATR, will host an interactive therapeutic art workshop. We’ll focus on self-expression and self-discovery. There is no experience necessary to participate, all are welcome. We will come together to create meaningful worksof art that will provide a creative outlet and promote relaxation. Common supplies to be used regularly will be household items such as: newspaper, magazines, tape, foil, markers, crayons, paints, glue etc. but you can use what you’ve got! Info & Registration
Weighted Yoga Time 10:00 AM Weighted Yoga with Cathie, is a fantastic addition to your regular yoga practice. Using small hand weights, the class will begin and end like a traditional yoga class. In the middle, we will alternate between a yoga segment and an upper body weight segment, building a well rounded, full body workout. (1 and 2 pound weights can be used together to create a 3 pound set. 2 and 3 pound weights can eventually be put together to equal a 5 pound set.) Info & Registration

Self Care 101 Series: Boundary Setting Time 2:00 PM Boundaries are a form of self-care. When you set boundaries, you are taking care of yourself. You are recognizing what you need and asking for it. If you don’t set boundaries, you’re likely to become resentful and exhausted. Setting boundaries takes some practice. Join us for this candid discussion and practice of implementing boundaries with a Licensed mental health clinician. Research shows engaging in self-care consistently is linked to positive health outcomes for our physical and emotional well-being. As a result, we can begin to experience health ailments such as: irritability, headaches, tight muscles, chronic illness and more. If this sounds like you or you are interested in learning about self-healing and relaxation methods, this lecture is for you! Join us as we learn about the mind-body connection, what healing energy is and a few relaxations and self-healing techniques. This program is meeting offsite at Chief Financial Credit Union (200 Diversion St., Rochester Hills, MI 48307) and is open to all Gilda's members.

Do you treat yourself as kindly as you would a close friend when they're struggling and in need of compassion? During this 8-week course, you will learn the components of self-compassion and become aware of your inner critic. Through guided meditation, gentle movement, stretching and group discussion, your self-judgment will soften. You will discover that far from being selfish, self-compassion is an essential ingredient of healthy relationships. You will receive a workbook of class materials and resources. A yoga mat and an open mind are all that you need to provide. Participants are required to attend all 8 sessions.

Angel Pillow Project Time 10:00 AM Location Clubhouse Art Room Angel Pillow was created to encourage healing, offer support and provide comfort to breast cancer patients. The heart-shaped pillows, created by breast cancer survivors, are used to soothe both physical and emotional pain immediately after surgery, radiation or other treatment. Yoga Wellness Retreat Time 12:15 PM Find the balance between tackling your edge and how to best use pose modifications. This class is meant to allow students to explore tastes of a one breath, one movement flow, and then work through a slower flow, having students hold poses for longer periods to really learn the alignment, sensation. Throughout the class students will explore balance of utilizing pose modification to offer themselves support, and tackling their edge. Do you treat yourself as kindly as you would a close friend when they're struggling and in need of compassion? During this 8-week course, you will learn the components of self-compassion and become aware of your inner critic. Through guided meditation, gentle movement, stretching and group discussion, your self-judgment will soften. You will discover that far from being selfish, self-compassion is an essential ingredient of healthy relationships. You will receive a workbook of class materials and resources. Life After Whipple #102: The Basics of Diabetes Time 6:00 PM The goal of the Life After Whipple Project is to begin to research, collect and disseminate information that may be helpful for pancreatic cancer survivors. This project is for patients who have had, or will have, the Whipple Procedure and are interested in learning how this surgery will affect their lives afterward. Parents will have an opportunity to share, learn, and support one another through their parenting journeys and all of the complexities that come with parenting with cancer. This program is meeting offsite at Chief Financial Credit Union (200 Diversion St., Rochester Hills, MI 48307) and is open to all Gilda's members.

Do you treat yourself as kindly as you would a close friend when they're struggling and in need of compassion? During this 8-week course, you will learn the components of self-compassion and become aware of your inner critic. Through guided meditation, gentle movement, stretching and group discussion, your self-judgment will soften. You will discover that far from being selfish, self-compassion is an essential ingredient of healthy relationships. You will receive a workbook of class materials and resources. A yoga mat and an open mind are all that you need to provide. Participants are required to attend all 8 sessions.

Optimizing Bowel and Bladder Function Post Radiation and Chemotherapy Time 6:00 PM This presentation will be focused on managing the symptoms that are associated with bowel and bladder dysfunction that are common after radiation to pelvic region or side effects from chemotherapy. Participants that are struggling with constipation, diarrhea, incontinence, or pain with voiding will learn how to best manage these symptoms at home to optimize their quality of life.

Art Therapy For All Time 10:00 AM Art Therapist Erin Shahly, MEd, ATR, will host an interactive therapeutic art workshop. We’ll focus on self-expression and self-discovery. There is no experience necessary to participate, all are welcome. We will come together to create meaningful worksof art that will provide a creative outlet and promote relaxation. Weighted Yoga Time 10:00 AM Weighted Yoga with Cathie, is a fantastic addition to your regular yoga practice. Using small hand weights, the class will begin and end like a traditional yoga class. In the middle, we will alternate between a yoga segment and an upper body weight segment, building a well rounded, full body workout. (1 and 2 pound weights can be used together to create a 3 pound set. 2 and 3 pound weights can eventually be put together to equal a 5 pound set.) Info & Registration
